HAPPY NEW YEAR! Woohoo! Yay 2011! two-oh-double-one(?)!
In celebration, me and my friend made this dress out of ducktape! Pics:
If you're wondering why I oddly resemble a chipmunk, it's because I was chewing bread when my grandma took this photo... Always a bad idea. Also the touch of evilpsychoglare in my eyes (see photo 2) was because I was trying to tell Nana which button to press (happens with everyone... my camera has 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
[a google plex?] buttons on the top)
So, there you are, folks. A dress made entirely of duct tape!

Translator
Hi! At the bottom of the page of this blog, there is a option to translate posts into different languages... My sister translated the most recent outfit post into Spanish using the translator at the bottom, and then she translated the Spanish text back to English with the help of Google Translate. Here is what it said:
Here is the original English text:
"The "shirt" is actually a flapper dress tucked into shorts; I did the last photo super overexposed so you can see the flapperness of it. The shorts are leftover from a summer camp I went to once that had uniforms... The belt is from Gap and the shoes are from JCrew."
Here is what the Spanish text means in English:
"The "shirt" is actually a hidden trap dressed in shorts, I did the last photo super overexposed
so you can see the flapperness of it. The shorts are the remains of a summer camp while
I had uniforms ... The belt is from Gap and JCrew shoes are."

Winter Vacation 1941
We made this the other day... The music is "Married Life," part of the score from Up (the movie)... Did it win the Oscar for Best Original Score? Do I even know what I'm talking about? Not sure on either, but I know it was nominated. Anyways, enjoy!

1950's housewife/Russian dance teacher
Hey. Sorry I haven't posted anything for a week or so, school is crazy. This is the outfit I wore on Monday... Old stretch sweater I used to wear for hip-hop, vintage suede skirt (used to be my grandma's; I've got another in a lighter color and I LOVE THEM...), average black tights from God Knows Where... Silk shoes from J Crew, they're my dress-up shoes, and they're very very fragile :) I love them, they're kinda Chanel-esque. My favorite aspect, however, is the cat's eye that I attempted... It looks fine from a distance... ARG. I use the ... too much! I can't stop... AHH!
Kinda washed out because of the flash (I don't like to use it, but sometimes it's necessary)...
Take a look at my skillful winged eyeliner...
I accidentally blinked, and look what happened! 50's housewife/Russian dance teacher/oblivious grandmother with many cats.

Relics of the 90's
So, today's outfit isn't much... 90's hipster glasses from Urban Outfitters, old Juicy beach dress (now it's more of a beach-mini), the same socks I wore the other day, aaaaaaaaaaand, my latest aquisition, a pair of Vulcan boots I have stolen from la madre. "I got them 15 years ago," she says, " in 1995... '94? No, '93. I can't believe that you're wearing all my old things I wore back when I was a hip young thing!"
Ah, mothers. How we love them.
As unfashionable as they are, for some reason I just love these boots. They're boots for confident people.
An ackward pose.
Even more ackward pose. Just an ackward person. God, what an ackward pose.

For Realz Now
OK. I am now starting to COMMIT, as I said. So, this is the first actual real actually totallty real post. My outfit today... Sorry about the grainyness... Do you know what time the sun sets here in lovely New England? Like, four o'clock or something. I freezing my butt off outside in these photos which is why I look soooo unhappy.
The outfit today isn't super special, but I love it: vintage polka dot sweater, gray jeans (a hand me down from my friend) striped wool socks from Urban outfitters (the gray wool hat is from there too) and my awesome fake-leather booties from Forever21... Winter is here. Almost. Ugh.

Turkey Plunge!
I made this movie on Thanksgiving break in Nantucket w/ my family.... The turkey plunge is this thing for maniac prepsters with charitable souls. You get pledges to "plunge" into the frigid waters of lovely Nantucket on Thanksgiving day. It's a fundraiser for the atheneum... Antheum? Athnium? Athenaum? Not sure...

Wordle!
Ok, since I'm such a dork, I find this super awesome: you take words (like, say, an english essay or a BLOG) and the website, wordle.net, turns them into art! It's so awesome! My two favorite things: art and words, mixed together... like peanut butter cups but better!
P.S. The Uniform Project has a new Pilot and she's really cool! Go to: http://theuniformproject.com/#!pilots
That's the Wordle for this blog, and I'm now realizing how much I say random things.

Chewy
Chewy is in the wall of my 7 year old cousin's room. Chewy will not come out of the wall. We bought a humane mouse trap for Chewy. We set up the trap. We went swimming. Chewy is still in the wall.
(What I was going to say before: wearing sunglasses indoors is really shady.)
Hi again
Ok, my cousin has now successfully started his blog...it's on the same account as mine, the blog is called POW! no, not pow, but POW! yes, i know, it's fantastic. My cousin's hamster just peed. On someone. The hamster's name is Chewy. Huh.
Anyways, I have something to say that has to actually do with fashion... So, a lot of people are wearing sunglasses, it being summer and all. I have no problem-- oh. god, the hamster got loose in my cousins room... gotta go. we are going to lure Chewy with lettuce. I'll continue this post later :)

Sorry
Ok... I sort of forgot about this whole blog thingy so... yeah. Right now I'm on a beach holiday in Cape Cod. It's pretty fun here and today we found a lot of horseshoe crabshells. We're going to bleach them and then paint them funky colors, cute, right? So once we're done painting them, I'll post the pictures of how they look. I don't know if they'll look good or bad, but I'm leaning towards good, since practically anything painted funky colors looks good. So that's it for now. Yup. Oh, I am posting some really cute pictures from a long time ago...

Hi there.
So, how are you?
Is that even an appropriate web-question?
Since this is my first blog entry, I thought I'd give you some quick facts about me:
*i love animals
*i love fashion
*i love movies and moviemaking
*i love art
*i love piano
*i love acting
There's your quick facts...
So, in terms of fashion, I'll start a the beginning... My first (but not last) home-photo shoot: the Barbies of the world photo shoot. Me, my sister Jess, and our friend Anna dressed up a bunch of barbies in clothing from different countries (basically what the Disney princess from said country wore) for a photo shoot. Yes. I was a cool kid.
