HAPPY NEW YEAR! Woohoo! Yay 2011! two-oh-double-one(?)!
In celebration, me and my friend made this dress out of ducktape! Pics:
If you're wondering why I oddly resemble a chipmunk, it's because I was chewing bread when my grandma took this photo... Always a bad idea. Also the touch of evilpsychoglare in my eyes (see photo 2) was because I was trying to tell Nana which button to press (happens with everyone... my camera has 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
[a google plex?] buttons on the top)
So, there you are, folks. A dress made entirely of duct tape!

Translator
Hi! At the bottom of the page of this blog, there is a option to translate posts into different languages... My sister translated the most recent outfit post into Spanish using the translator at the bottom, and then she translated the Spanish text back to English with the help of Google Translate. Here is what it said:
Here is the original English text:
"The "shirt" is actually a flapper dress tucked into shorts; I did the last photo super overexposed so you can see the flapperness of it. The shorts are leftover from a summer camp I went to once that had uniforms... The belt is from Gap and the shoes are from JCrew."
Here is what the Spanish text means in English:
"The "shirt" is actually a hidden trap dressed in shorts, I did the last photo super overexposed
so you can see the flapperness of it. The shorts are the remains of a summer camp while
I had uniforms ... The belt is from Gap and JCrew shoes are."

Winter Vacation 1941
We made this the other day... The music is "Married Life," part of the score from Up (the movie)... Did it win the Oscar for Best Original Score? Do I even know what I'm talking about? Not sure on either, but I know it was nominated. Anyways, enjoy!

1950's housewife/Russian dance teacher
Hey. Sorry I haven't posted anything for a week or so, school is crazy. This is the outfit I wore on Monday... Old stretch sweater I used to wear for hip-hop, vintage suede skirt (used to be my grandma's; I've got another in a lighter color and I LOVE THEM...), average black tights from God Knows Where... Silk shoes from J Crew, they're my dress-up shoes, and they're very very fragile :) I love them, they're kinda Chanel-esque. My favorite aspect, however, is the cat's eye that I attempted... It looks fine from a distance... ARG. I use the ... too much! I can't stop... AHH!
Kinda washed out because of the flash (I don't like to use it, but sometimes it's necessary)...
Take a look at my skillful winged eyeliner...
I accidentally blinked, and look what happened! 50's housewife/Russian dance teacher/oblivious grandmother with many cats.

Relics of the 90's
So, today's outfit isn't much... 90's hipster glasses from Urban Outfitters, old Juicy beach dress (now it's more of a beach-mini), the same socks I wore the other day, aaaaaaaaaaand, my latest aquisition, a pair of Vulcan boots I have stolen from la madre. "I got them 15 years ago," she says, " in 1995... '94? No, '93. I can't believe that you're wearing all my old things I wore back when I was a hip young thing!"
Ah, mothers. How we love them.
As unfashionable as they are, for some reason I just love these boots. They're boots for confident people.
An ackward pose.
Even more ackward pose. Just an ackward person. God, what an ackward pose.
